Saywat?

Are these pics of covers or half the real Brembo calipers? I could swear I read somewhere that the stock sport pack came with Brembos? If correct, where's a pic? Must be tons out there. All I can find are custom, not OEM installed gear. My rotors look HP at least don't they?

I need to find out if anything is fake on this car as I paid good money for it because of the $2K stock sport extras. Anyway to tell if it has the sport suspension, limited slip dif. etc.? May want to sue if I got screwed....

Well, brembos only came on 03-04 6mt models, and they never came in red. Only the orange sparkle. They do look oddly good tho, so we need you to take pictures more closely for us to know. If those are real they could have been added later. They actually look like the stock brembos from a Hyundai Genesis.

Thanks for that info Gdirtyfive55!

Here's the ad copy on the car:

"This car has been left in original factory condition and is not molested or reconstructed like many others that are listed. This car has flawless maintenance records from Smolich Nissan in Bend, OR and has been cared for dearly as it is adult owned. Just turned 100,000 miles. This was the premium coupe from the factory and has Brembo brakes as well as a sport tuned suspension. Just installed brand new tires. Car is a 9 out of 10. Call. Txt. Email."

Will post some better pics tomorrow.

You can clearly see that that's not no oem brembo setup if it even is. Looking the the pic I can see they mounted it somehow over stock calipers with the bracket still showing, just look at the pic below with non brembo brakes and you'll see the same bracket. Also looks like you have regular side skirts and not sport sideakirts though 05 may not have come with sport sides. Either way probably means the guy lied considering those fake brake covers and the ad is now gone. Just because your rotors are slotted and drilled doesn't mean it's a sport version. Matter fact sport version never came with slotted and drilled rotors at all. I don't think you can really do anything now besides maybe take him court if you got the time and money for it.

Ha!! Bow is right. Those are full on stock brakes that someone spent an unusually inappropriate amount of time on making look like a BBK. Pretty decent job tho. That guy should get into the counterfeit bizzz

All the covers I've seen are this cheap plastic ones that saywat posted.

Here's pics from the right side. UPDATE, they are PLASTIC covers! Looked like alum. from the wear marks but the melted plastic can be scraped off the inside of the spare wheel!

Are the stock brakes dual rotor like these? Can't tell from the pic? I will say the braking is outstanding on this car and I had heard that the stock brakes had some problems but not sure which year(s).

Except for feeling like I've been had on the purchase regarding the brakes however, I do love the car. Coming from an MGB-GT to a 87 Supra to this is a nice climb up the ladder of performance!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the stock brakes that are on there, its just funny when someone tries to trick people into thinking they have an expensive set of brakes. Honestly, on a daily driver it doesnt matter. Just shows how vain the previous owner was. Please take those covers off tho!

Actually I dont remember how the 350z brembos looked if they had the bar at the at the bottom from of the caliper but the 350z brembos did come factory red but the g35 does not have that bar so I would doubt the 350 would have it. And those rotors look awfully small for the caliper.

This is the factory rear brembo caliper and yes I painted it on the car rather than risk brake fluid eating fresh paint like a fat kid eats cake lol jp
