Potenza S-04 PP or Continental DW

About to replace tires on my 07 G35 coupe with sport tuned 19's. All bone stock.

Narrowed it down to the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position or Continental Extremecontact DW.

Leaning towards the Potenzas. Just seeing if anyone can sway me to the DW with any experiences. Their survey ratings are pretty close on Tirerack. Thanks!

I'll let someone more knowledgeable chime in, but I have heard good things about the continentals. I'm running Bridgestone summer tires now and I like em. I'm sure they're both great options. I personally prefer michelin but to each their own.

Edit: no personal experience with the DWs, but my friend had them on his ML350 and loved them.

Not a fan of Bridgestone or Continental! If you want a quality tire that won't let you down, give you good mileage and run quiet choose Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They have a UTQG of 300 which means they're still sticky for good traction and long lasting! Check their price against the other two you mentioned on tire rack, whatever the difference it will be worth it...Gary

Gary I think he is looking for all seasons. But I do agree with you, Michelin is my tire of choice. I had michelin all seasons and they kicked *** no matter what conditions. I am getting the pilot super sports once I burn through my bridgestones.

Thanks for the inputs. These are far from all seasons. They're actually listed in the max summer performance category. I did consider the Michelins for a while, but the price difference is pretty big when added up.

And why are the OEM stock RE050A tires crazy expensive?? Like well above $300+ anywhere. That's ridiculous.

Rimshaker, with tires you get what you pay for! Even so called "Name Brand" tires like GoodYear have left me stranded, but never Michelin. Also, consider this..."Your life may depend on what's between you and the road!"

Whoops I was talking about all seasons. my bad.

Listen to gary. I'm getting Michelin Pilot Super Sports in a few months and I have numerous friends with them who love them. pony up the extra dough and just do it right the first time.

Super Sports would be my first choice, however, the B-Stone is very close second to them. Conti's are a bit older these days but still holding their own. Those are very good in the wet but dry handling a bit more on par with the older Michelin PS2's. Between the two originally asked about, S04's would be my choice.

Had the Conti Dw's and had no complaints. Traction on dry and wet roads is good, and this tire wears well.
