I use a tire sponge and use an up and down motion. It helps to fill the little vertical lines easier.

looking forward to you checking back with an assessment on the Vorti....I'm very interested in the results. (How much more were they over the Sessantas?)

they were cheaper than Sessantas $206.70 for rear and 204.10 for front. Originally Posted by Deepdiver

I usually pay 220+ for Sessanta.
The vertical lines are not as deep as they are on Sessantas, but it's more of them. So maybe they will be easier to detail.
I do it the same way, up and down motions.

Just got a set of Pilot Super Sports all around for good pricing ($225/ea at Discounted Wheel Warehouse, and $225/ea for rears on eBay - I bought them separately) and man, I am so glad I did. They are just so much better than the Hankooks I was on for the last 5 years. There's a reason these are consistently rated the highest and usually cost the most. The steering response is just so much better, and the grip levels are fantastic. They also look better.
If you can afford to wait and watch for deals, it's well worth the extra few $ for the Michelins. I liked the look of the Vred's and they sound like a good alternative, but the pricing really wasn't any better than the PSS from where I could find them, and if that's the case, then I was going to pick the Michelins. I don't put a ton of mileage on my G (I still only have 55K on the car and I'm the only owner since new in 2004, LOL) so wear is a relative thing for me. And for the extra $50 or so, it's well worth it.

so now that you've had them for a few weeks, how are are the Vorti's compared to the Sessantas? Would you purchase again?

Brother backed into my car and crushed the front end.
It's been out of commission for some time now.
Hopefully I'll get her rolling this weekend. and tires will follow within a week or so.
