OEM 18 Wheels

Just quick two questions:

I always see sellers indicating rear or front for the 18 inch OEM wheels (7 spoke, for 2003-2004 coupe). It's the same, front and rear, correct?

Also, the sedan wheels will fit the 03-04 coupe also, is that right?

No, they're staggered. Rears are 1/2" wider.

Thank you. I have read that somewhere, but I found

http://forums.nicoclub.com/g35-g37-o...s-t342067.html

and here

https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...s-offsets.html

that it's both 18x8 for front and rear. Is that right?

03-04 Coupe.

The 18" 7 spoke OEM wheels are the same, front and back, except for a small dimple in the fronts for the front fitment bolt.

Tires are staggered... but the wheels are the same dimensions except for that dimple on the fronts.

Turns out that the offset is slightly different. looks like the rear wheels can go to the front, but the front ones can't be put in the back.. Anybody made the same experience?

Not really. Offset is the same, 30 mm front and back.

The front and rear rims are the same dimensions, but the fronts have a hole in the middle that will accept the front fitment bolt. This bolt keeps a rear rim from being rotated to the front due to the difference in front & rear tire sizes.

If you want to remove the front fitment bolt from your car you will be able to use a rear rim on the front with no problem.

So actually, if you want to put a rear rim on the front, just take off the front fitment bolt.

I tried it at a car shop earlier. I wish I took a picture, but the center hole/bore of the rear wheel has less depth. Even though both rear and front says 30mm offset, rear and front have a different depth.

Right, the front have a hole/dimple for the front clearance bolt, the rears do not. So the rear wheel will not fit on the front because the front hub has the front clearance bolt.

So the front looks like they are deeper, but the mounting offset / insertion depth / ET is 30 mm for both the front and rear. That hole doesn't effect the ET.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...-question.html

"The 18s have the same dimensions, but come from the factory with different size tires. So to prevent mounting the rears on the front, Infiniti put a stud on the wheel mounting plate that prevents the rear wheel from fitting on the front. If you remove the stud, it will mount."

This has all been covered ten years ago.

Ok, I understand now. Would you be able to show me a picture of that front fitment bolt? I wish I took a picture, now I can't remember exactly what I was looking at. It did not look like something I could take out.

Thank you

It looked like this: The center hole being "less" deep. Didn't look like a bolt to me

Ah, I think I understand. The bolt is on the hub itself. Could you describe to me what it looks like, or show me a picture, or possibly tell me how to remove it?

Thank you

Thank you. I didn't see such bolt however, I would have known what to do with it. I did just notice that the center holes of one wheel was shallower, the other one deeper. As if one has a 30mm offset, the other one a 32mm, even though both wheels indicate a 30mm offset.

Am I going crazy?
