Tire Size Question

I just got some rays and im coming from the 17" stock wheels. I have a 2 235/40/19 Bridgestone Potenzas.. will those fit the front wheels? I was told they would fit the front 19" rays. Also im not sure what tires I want for the rears I heard the size i need is 245/40/19 but im not completely sure.. im looking for something that won't break the bank but I dont want crap either! Help would be great, thanks guys

The coupe 19's came with 225/40/19 tires up front and 245/40/19 out back so yes, your 235/40/19's will work. As far as what tire is best for you you'll need to do a lot of research to match what you're looking for with the right tire. There are literally thousands of options out there as far as size, tire type (touring, high performance, all-season, ultra high performance, summer, max performance, snow etc.), brand and price range just to name a few of the variables you'll deal with when making your decision.

My philosophy though is to not cheap out on tires as I consider them an essential safety item. Super cheap tires are cheap for a reason, they suck. I won't trust my life or the lives of others just because I want to save a few $$$. If people buy cheap azz tires because that's all they can afford they're doing it wrong. Tire Rack is a great website to poke through tire kinds, sizes, prices and reviews to help you make a decision on what to get. They are also a good friend of our Forum and involved here. Good luck.

I have two bridgestone potenzas for the front and picked up 2 falken ziex ze950 a/s they were $155 each. Should I take them back and buy 2 nicer tires for the back? I can if I need to

Are both pairs all season?
If not, return the falkens and get something else

I believe the bridgestones are all season too but I'm not positive

edit: turns out the bridgestones are summer tires. Well I kinda need tires today but I can return the falkens. Any ideas for any cheaper summer tires that I can find locally?

That 235/40-19 is a tad taller than we normally show. 225/40-19 a more common fit.
