NIsmo VS Stillen Sway Bars

I heard Stillen makes a noise when turns.... thats why i was thinking about getting nismo even though it is very expensive.. I am assuming they have similar quality and perform almost equally. Or is that true? HOw long would they last?? Life of the car?? SO my final questions goes to which one should i get ?? that is noiselesss and peforms the best..

I installed Stillen sway bars abut 1500 miles ago. So far I have no complaints. No noticable noise etc... They have made a significant improvement fover stock but I have them on the stiffest setting. Im still using stock springs but will install the Eibach Pros next week. Im waiting to see what the overall change is before adjusting the sway bars to anything softer.

I can post again after the springs install and I get a feel for how it rides.

One thing is for sure on the G and Z, never never ever assume that any aftermarket part, no matter who makes it, measures up to a factual comparison. Not everything is better then oem or better then another brand.

Case in point.

This is how the Nismo bar compairs to the oem bars on all G's and Z's, 05 sedan's and 05 coupes with the sports suspension excluded as they have thicker bars this year.
Front: +18%
Rear: +1.4%

That's it. Look at what end of the car they stiffen up. Plus they are not adjustable. The whole point of sway bars is to use them to fine tune the car to suit you and how you like the car to behave when you drive it. You are better off with the Stillen bars. Every single bar made for these cars can have problems if you do not installed them correctly. If you are worried about the Stillen bars reusing the oem bushings, Prothane makes oem polyurathane replacements. Stillen's are not the only fully adjustable bar set offered for these cars, Hotchkis and 350EVO are also two excellent choices.

Stillen 5-way adjustable bars
35mm front hollow 22mm rear hollow (converting from 1 3/8" & 7/8")
Claimed adjustment range 7% to 70% (unknown if both front and rear bars
have the same full 7% to 70% range)

Mines Sway bars
Front 20% stiffer rear 30% stiffer
$699.00(OUCH!)

Eibach specs from Eibach.com
34mm hollow front 22mm hollow rear
Front bar is 2-way adjustable, rear bar is 3-way adjustable

350EVO Sway bars 3-way adjustable front and rear
34mm front and 23mm rear solid bar construction, not hollow.
Front bar
middle adjustment 11% stiffer
stiff adjustment 33% stiffer

Rear bar (the rear bar specs below are not accurate, as EVO350 upped the rear bar to 24mm for production, they never published new specs for the new thicker bar. Of note is the fact that their rear bar does not have the curve for the oem exhaust pipe, it routes below the exhaust in a straight line, something that further benefits rigidity
middle adjustment 25% stiffer
stiff adjustment 53% stiffer
Sway bar sets include front and rear bars, greasable bushings,
and brackets.

Hotchkis Sway bars
Front 1 3/8" (35MM) Hollow (Bar Weight 13.5lbs)
3 Position Adjustable
Rate Increase over stock
+9%,+32%,+63%

Rear 15/16"(24mm) Hollow (bar weight 5.5lbs)
3 Position Adjustable

no noise on my stillens....

and can't think why people would want to spend extra on a bar they can't adjust.

I thought I read somewhere that all the sedan would need is the rear
bar as the front bar is already stiff and that evo sells just the rear bar....
is this true..my car is slightly lowered with the coupe suspension.

Even Infiniti felt that the car did not have quite enough whole car roll control. 05 sedan's and 05 coupes with the sport suspension have stiffer oem sway bars front and rear.

Evo350

I will start with the Evo350 rear bar for my sedan and see how it goes
will set it at medium and will probably be quite happy but who knows
maybe I will need the front but from what I have read the front is already
quite stiff so I hope not...Has anybody had any rubbing issues with the exhaust?

When I first put on the rear 350EVO bar it was touching the bottom of my mid-pipe on an exhuast hangar. Took my car to a muffler shop and had them shave off some of the hangar as well as readjusted the positioning of my exhaust. After that I have a good 2 inches of clearance now between the bar and the mid-pipe. I think I have read of one other person with the 350EVO bars on the sedan having the same problem as well.
