All season goodness

Hey all I wanted to post a review of a new pair of tires I put on the GTO recently. Living in south Texas I've never had a need for all season tires and have been a big fan of the Bridgestone Potenza RE 760 Sports for years. Bought an 06 GTO with 27K miles last year and promptly put a set of 760's on her immediately. Had an unfortunate incident a little over a month ago and needed to replace 2 of them. Lo and behold, Discount Tire informed me that they had been discontinued and weren't available in my size any more. They offered me a chance to replace them for no charge (road hazard warranty FTMFW!) with a tire in the same price range. I ended up with the BF Goodrich G Force Comp 2 AS as replacements and damn, I'm in love!!

When I picked up the Goat I was immediately turned off by their appearance. A little too aggressive looking I thought, might I have made a mistake? Not even close, these tires kick some major azz. In a TR test of 27 UHP AS tires they came in 2nd out of 27 behind the Michelin Pilot SS AS tires that cost twice as much. (Update just now, they are now the #1 rated UHP AS) Providing fantastic grip, handling and ride with very little road noise I couldn't be happier. They are predictable in when they will let go and don't squeal like a lot of AS do when pushed. Wet performance is nothing short of amazing but I can't comment on snow. That's something we just don't see down here very often.

So take my words for what they're worth to you, I'm in tire nirvana!!

I must agree with you. My father runs the GForce Comp2 AS on his 2016 VW GTI and has nothing but good things to say about them. I have the summer ultra high performance Comp 2's on my Miata and they are very good as well btw.

So If you are in need of a high performance summer tire that doesn't break the bank the Gforce Comp2's work quite well. And if you are in need of an all season the Comp2 AS are def a good choice for price to performance.

I've had these on a couple cars and I feel like they wear out too fast.
I think they are an excellent choice for all season but if you won't - or hardly - ever see snow then you should use something else that'll last longer.

UTQG is 400 AA A

Fairly high for a pretty sticky tire.

I've been running them for 4 years and it snows a lot in Maryland and I love them. I'm ordering another set soon, I'll keep ordering these tires until they're discontinued.

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
So let's be clear which tire we are talking about here.

Mr. Brooks, you are speaking of the Continentals, correct?

Blue Dream, you were giving the UTQG for the BF Goodrich's, correct?
