Need some help with Tires

I'm running stock G35 18s, 225 45 18f and 245 45 18r

Now i have 2 questions, can i rotate the 245s to the front and put 265 on the rear (8in rim i think) i dont want to mess with the slip sensor or vdc

Second question which tires would be best, i live in florida so i dont need winter tires. My biggest issue is traction when it rains. Im willing to spend about 200 a tire. The less is better.

265 won't have an aspect ratio that fits right. You'd want a 275/40. At that point all 4 tires would be the same height.

275/40-18 in the rear a better fit.

Good overall summer tire would be the BFG GForce Sport Comp-2. I'd also look at Hankook's V12 EVO2.

I will second Neal's advice but go a step further. I have been a huge fan of the Bridestone Potenza RE 760 Sports for years, run them on my G and GTO. Needed to replace tires on the Goat recently and much to my chagrin they have been discontinued according to Discount Tire here. They recommended the GForce Comp 2 AS and never having owned all season tires I was skeptical but did my research and they came in first place out of 27 all season uhp tires in a comparison on Tire Rack. Not the prettiest tire out there but damn they rock!! Great grip wet/dry, predictable handling, relatively quiet and fairly long life expectancy for a UHP tire. I have 17" wheels on the GTO and the tires were around $130 each IIRC which is an absolute steal if you ask me. I've run a lot of different tires over the 8 years I have owned the G including Hankook, Falken, Nitto, Michelin and Bridgestone and the GForce are hands down my favorite. HTH

I'm surprised Neal didn't also recommend Michelin's since their quality can't be beat by anything on the road! Since I started driving (a while ago) I've used most every quality brand tire on the market! Most have failed in one way or another but never Michelin, now that's all I run on my G or my wife's Vette! Also available at the Tirerack at a great price...Gary

Thanks everyone, great information i didnt know alot about tires. The 275s wouldnt fit on the rim without serious bulge and i wouldve had to roll my fenders. When they dropper the car i thought the 255s were gonna hit the fenders soni went with 255 45 18s and they fit well bridgestone s04s

I'm running Continental DWS 6's on my coupe. 285-30-20's in the rear and 255-35-20's in the front. They are all season tires and I love them. They handle great in the wet, and any other weather conditions you throw at them. Road noise is very quiet and they handle road irregularities beautifully.

I don't care where they moved from jack azz. I'm giving my experience with them. I guess if you don't follow the in crowd your comments get hated on. Lmao, I'm glad I'm one of those guys that don't care.. By the way, I'm running Michelins on my factory 19s. So, I'm enjoying the best of both worlds...lmao, lmao, lmao
