Going from 19's to 18's

So I've been searching for awhile now on the forums with little luck, but I'm considering ordering a set of wheels that are 18x9.5 with +30 offset. Currently I'm running the OEM Rays wheels (19x8.5 +33 Rear/19x8 +30 Front) on Tanabe springs with a 255 rear tire and 235 front. Just curious if the 9.5 width of the new wheels would have any severe impact on rubbing my fenders. Thanks in advance.

What's your reason for downgrading the wheels you're running? Your coupe looks super clean with the 19's and they fill the wells perfectly! I know 18's are slightly cheaper and give slightly better ride because of the fatter sidewalls...is it worth the cost of different wheels? Not!

I'm not necessarily looking to swap them out anytime soon. I love the Rays and get major compliments on them but mainly I just wanted to know what would a wider but smaller wheel affect mostly like rubbing and such.

You have spacers on the car right now with the oem rays
Keep that in mind when comparing these vs the 18s

These are more expensive, better looking and higher performance than most 19s. I wouldn't call 18s a downgrade.

Hey, nothing wrong with a little meat on dozz rimzzzzzz.................

Gary, remember not everyone thinks like you

OP, benefits of going from 19's to 18's: cheaper tires, more tire options, better ride (significantly IMHO) etc. As far as rubbing, can't answer that until you post what the tire specs you're looking at are. jersey has a point as well, you planning on running the spacers with the new wheels?

Ha ha.
Lol I didn't have spacers on yet. Them being sunk in makes that gap look huge. It looks better pushed out. Think I still want 5mm more tho.

Just because they cost more $$ and have NISMO written in them doesn't make them look any better! Everyone has opinions, likes and dislikes, fact is I wouldn't run those on my Honda! (lawnmower)

The spacers kinda depend on how the 9.5 width of the wheel fill out the fenders.

alright so i decided against the 18" wheels. I'm planning on sticking with 19" but a 9.5 width all around with +15 offset in the rear and +35 in the front. May or may not use spacers, just depends.

And so are the rears. Good fitment for rears is 11 wide and +15 offset.
