Work Meister S2R clear ST-40 BBK?

I got a deal I couldn't pass up on a 14" StopTech front BBK ST-40, so it's sitting in my garage now. My stock 17s won't clear it. I found a few different wheel options, one of which is Work Meister S2R 18x8 +37 and 18x9 +38. Does anyone know if these will clear the BBK? I've been searching around and can't find much. It's on a stock 05 sedan, I think the offsets are otherwise fine (maybe close on the rear). Thanks in advance.

I think the low offsets (stock is near +40) means you are gonna run into trouble.

There are guides on how to measure specs, but I think you are going to need something of the +25 or closer to 0 to make those fit up front. Backs are small, regardless.

Jelly you found that deal. The only ones I would upgrade to are stoptech or wilwoods.

I did as much googling as I could and it sounded like they'd clear, so I snagged the wheels.

I thought the diameter and design of the wheel (high or low disc) was really the issue, not the offset. I did a quick measurement and it looks like I've got about 5mm clearance.

The rotors and calipers are very light for their size. Wheels too. Wheels are going to be the winter set, I like the look....kinda feels like a waste to just run them in the snow/slush...

For rear tires, since they're 9" +38, what size do you think I should run? I'm going to use Nexen Winguard Sport 2 tires, and thinking about 50/245s. My summer wheels are 19" 8.5 +36 with 245s and clear in the rear with no rubbing. Think that extra 1/2 inch on the wheel with a 245 tire and +38 will cause some rubbing?

Dang great progress here! I am not honestly sure but you want to keep similar heights to stock, around 3% greater or lesser in diameter as stock to keep VDC happy. Those are really sharp wheels.

Thanks man, couple more pics below, clearance still looks good. I was gonna get Brembos for the rear, but Akebonos were cheaper, so I got them instead (eBay) and new SS lines, StopTech pads, and Centric blank rotors. Think I should paint the Akebonos black or leave them silver? I can't decide, but leaning towards silver to keep a stock-ish look.
Other question: will a 245 look stretched on a 9" wheel?

That clearance though! Seems like a 255 would be ideal but a 245 could fit. You'll need to use a tire size calculator to make sure the ride height won't change much.

I did use the calculator, think I'm gonna end up with 255/45/18 out back and 235/50/18 up front. Probably gonna need to have the quarters rolled now too.

Makes sense. Those are some big wheels and running those offsets it usually needs it.
