Anyone having wheel bearing issues after putting on rims?

I see a lot of people are going +10mm away on the offset of their aftermarket wheels and I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with their wheel bearings wearing fast...etc

thanks!

Other cars.... YES

I have not heard of any issues on Infiniti's.

But I have seen bearing and suspension problems on other cars. Many times it was caused by a combination of improper offset and huge wheel and tire combos (they add a ton of weight in most cases).

You make an excellent point. It's not really that wheels with improper offset add weight, it's that they shift the weight around to places that weren't designed to carry it. Wheel bearings, spindels, etc. I have not heard of any issues yet. But the night is still young, and the jury is still out.

Ive had 6 cars with aftermarket wheels/tires and none had wheel bearing problems...
if my G has problems, it would be the first. but having aggressive offset
on wider wheels does affect how you put extra force on the bearing.

There is a TSB on the rear wheel bearings, regardless of aftermarket wheels. I had mine replaced recently under warranty.

You'll probably notice more of a pulsed roaring noise while you drive... Here's how I check on occasion:

Lift car push/pull the wheel forward/aft up/down. If you hear any thud or the
wheel literally moves around in that direction you push/pull you probably have a
bad bearing. don't confuse up/down with sus movement though.
