^ what the above said, unless you don't mind rolling your fenders. depending on your drop, 30 series would be max imo.

Depends on the brand of tires as well, some are thicker in tread pattern (Bridgestone) some thinner (Toyo). Falken I believe are a size smaller in general, I would go take a look and compare the actual tires.

Go with a 285/30/20 it looks alot better on a 20x10. A 275/35 on a 10" wide wheel is not gonna look good IMO, I have toyo's 275/30/20 on my rears now and I hate the way they look, I just got a set of BFgoodrich g-force 285/30/20 just hope they dont rub.

The 10's will fit. I have 275/35/20 and I went with this size because 275/30 would affect VDC.

You are mostlikely going to rub with that tire. The g-force is a very very wide tire. I can email you a picture comparing a 265 G force to a dunlop 285. The g force is still wider then the dunlop, even tho the dunlop is two sizes larger. Make sure you can get a refund on those tires if they dont fit.

so if i'm running 20x10.5 in the back with BFG g-force KDW2, will 275/35 not fit?

From what my tire charts says, the KDW2's dont come in a 275/35, on the KDW's do. If you want the KDW2's you'll have to deside between the 265/35's and 280/30's

RIGHT ANSWER

The shape of the tires does matter, but x35 will most likely fit the G Coupe for Rear with no problem

But I will suggest 275/30R or 285/30R to avoid any potential problems...
