SPC camber arms and bolts, install?

Well, I know the arms won't be a problem, but for the toe bolts, the instructions say I need a #85126 rotary file to elongate the oe slot. Anyone know which rotary file, or for my sakes, what it looks like, and brand? Is it a bit for a dremel or is it something totally different?

Great job! Keep in mind that this is to correct camber, not toe! It's actually misleading to say they're toe bolts, when they adjust camber. Has anyone installed (elongated) the slot for toe adjustment?

dang it. thanks for that. okay, so now I guess I still need to see pics of the "toe bolt" installed. Oh well, I should be able to find out where it is once I install it.

I'm confused, the link that BK listed is for Toe bolts.

I just installed finished the whole installation last night including the SPC camber rods.

When elongating the wholes for the toe bolts you need that dremel extension seen on that PDF. I'm lucky I got a hold of one or I would have never been able to do it. Also have at least 6 of those red cone bits. After going through 4 cones I had to scrounge up any metal griding bits i had.

guys,
i think you are a little bit confused. that is my writeup from my website, that shows the toe bolt installation for toe adjustment. camber adjustment uses the camber rods, and toe adjustment is done on the spring bucket by rotating the eccentric bolts.

the instructions that i put together tell you what type of metal cutting bit you need also.

Chad

hey chad thanks for the PDF, it helped me a lot. I'm glad I only had to shave away the inner part, I wasn't sure what bit 115 was so I just grabbed any red bit I had. They are all completely covered with aluminum now.

I was just confused why the other people here were saying thats not for the "toe bolt". It's obviouse those instructions are not for the camber arm.

there is no such thing as a "toe rod" - the SPC kit utilizes a larger toe bolt that maximizes the amount that the toe can be adjusted vs. the stock bolt (traction rods are the biggest waste of money, imo, as they only "trick" the car into getting the toe correct at the expense of throwing the caster off) - to elongate the toe bolt slot is very easy - simply use the template that comes with the kit and use a rotary file to match the holes up - takes a little bit of time if you're lying on your back, but it's worth it in order to get everything back into spec...
