This is just my opinion, and we all know about opinions don't we?
But whyyyy would you guys/gals spend 35-40K for a car and put cheap Azzzz Rims on your car??? Why? I ask why?

I mean if it's a Civic, sure go for it. Have some pride. Dress your baby with some nice Socks and shoes, not those skany $200 rims for Joe's Wheel Shop.

I guess some people spend all their money on their G, and don't have enough $$$ for good rims. Just my $.02

 

I've swung back and forth on this issue. What would be considered the appropriate price range on wheels for a $36k vehicle? I really love how the quality of the rims improves when you hit the $600 and up range, but how do you justify $2500 to 4000 on rims alone? They're just rims. Most of them don't even improve performance and aren't covered by the warranty. Seems like one of the worst bargains out there.

If you love your car, give it the best and only the best. You wouldn't want to put cheap oil in her right? Remember, even if the price is high, there is a way to knock the price down to make it reasonable or find a better deal somewhere else.

My G35 is the first thing that I actually paid full retail for! I couldn't believe it myself....

My personal view on this topic is you shouldn't spend more than 10% of the value of your car for rims and tires....

well frist off i agree that you probaly should not but some cheap 200 dollar rim on but i also cant justify spending a grand a rim. All you are going to get from spending a grand or more is a name brand and lots of chrome. I think some were around 400-800 is about the area for rims. I would not spend more then 800 dollars on a rim ever even if i was driving a [censored] bently. Besides for 400 you can get some pritty nice rims.

 

One word (maybe two) Chicago Potholes. Two cars ago I spent over $1500 replacing bent rims. I even tryed to get reimbursed by one suburb. (no luck, but they did fix the street the next day). If it looks nice and doesn't cost a fortune to replace, I will buy a cheaper rim. Thats my two cents.

 

very simple you get what you pay for. i have a 10% rule. i don't want to spend more than 10% of the price of the car.

is 2200 dollars considered cheap rims,,, the rims taht i got are really good there KMC rims,,, 5 spoke 18 and they look tight... doesnt matter the price guys its looks,,, as long as ur not ricing out ur car wat does it matter how much u spend on dubs,,, if u like it then do it,,,

i say theirs nothing wrong with cheap wheels...as long as they look good...look at Axis for example, their not the most expensive wheels out there and neither are they that cheap just really reasonable (around 2-4 hundred per rim) and they look awesome and look expensive...same with ADR's, Konig's, MAS Italy's and Moda's...i see no problem with these relatively inexpensive brands...especially since most their wheels look pretty good...just my thoughts
