Tein CS (Monotube construction, adjustable dampners )
Special Note: A comfort ride system compare to HKS LS.They are valved and sprung to fullfill their intended mission of offering up improved ride comfort. More specifically their valving will impact the performance they can deliver. And to add, revalving them is extreamly expensive if you find they are too soft for you. If you want performance, pick a different Tein offering or pick a different brand.

Very well said!

I have rode in both HKS Hipermax II and RS. The thing I notice is RS tend to ride nicer and more comfortable. If you are going to use your car on the track, I would recommend you to go with Zeal. If track/street....go with HKS RS and if only street...go with Tein CS.

Thanks,

Yea i think performace is more important to me, than comfort. but due to bad roads in boston i still need great amount of comfort as the second most important thing...
I think some vendor is selling HKS RS for $1500 do you guys think its worth it or should i be looking at other brands?

What are you going to use you car for mostly? Track, autocross, or just street driving?

My recommendation:
Track and Autocross - Zeal
Street Driving - HKS RS

HKS is well worth the money.

Thanks,
Tom

I was debating over the HKS RS and the Tein CS. With GSedan35's help I decided to go with the RS. It seems like its better quality and its more rare than the CS. It outperforms the CS as well. If you guys want it for $1500, contact Marty at Injected Performance, I believe he has one set left. I will be getting it on monday or tuesday, i'll be sure to post a review and pics.

No noise at all from mine. Used to have the "standard" lowering setup for this site, Tokicos and 350H-Techs. Swapped them out for the RS.

RS is far better (IMO for performance and comfort) and easy to adjust.

Pic dropped on the RS

Does anyone know if the HKS RS setup can maintain the stock ride height on a Z? Right now I have the 350Z suspension on my sedan and I really would like not to go any lower than that if I were to go with coilovers.

When I called HKS about the RS fitment for the coupe, one of the things I asked was about ride height. They told me that you can set the car up to oem ride height, which would mean a 1/2" drop for a sedan.

hmmm. Maybe I will try the RS in the near future. I have the 2005 coupe springs and the D-specs. Settings for the D-specs are 4 at all corners and the car rolls a bit more than I like. I will try the 350evo sways and see how it works. My only other complaint with the 05 coupe springs is that the rear now sits noticably lower than the front. I did not measure before swapping the springs so I cannot determine the drop.

I am considering the 350z springs and the D-specs, but this is my fear that my G will have 'saggy butt' syndrome. In this respect, the coilovers seem like the obvious choice, but the price differential is hard to swallow.

Anyone use the 350z springs on their G sedan and not have a lower rear? Thanks.
