Gsedan35 used 3/8" spacers in the rear spring buckets. His G looks extremely nice and the stance is perfect. I am doing the same. If I remember correctly the buckets require a ring spacer. I can mill these at my factory. Or buy these that Gsedan35 found: http://www.pitstopusa.com/detail.aspx?ID=23986

Thanks for the kind words about my car. On those metal spacers, it has since dawned on me that the upper seat and upper pan is 5.5" wide, which is how wide my lexan or polypropylene spacers are. I found these poly parts from energy suspension that fit the bill, 3/8" thick and 5 7/16" diameter. All you would need is trim the inner lip down flat. http://www.performancecenter.com/pro...ber_ENS9-6101/

Thanks Jim. Glad to know I can maintain my current 1" drop with the RS. These are looking pretty attractive in terms of spring rate and valving for the person who wants a coilover that dabbles in the performance area and yet retains a tolerable street ride. Too bad they are so expensive compared to other performance coilovers that have more features.

The best price I've seen for the RS is the same as the best price as I've seen for the Tein Flex and $200 lower then Jics at their best price.

One could alway's get the JDM Tein Flex (10Kg springs unlike the USDM setup which has 12Kg springs) and run them with 9Kg or 8Kg springs, but you'd have to wait a long time to get them by boat from Japan and changing the spring rates would of course cost you at least $320 more.

The Bilstein PSS coilovers are another setup that will allow a 1" sedan drop. But you don't get adjustable dampners and I would chuck the progressive rear springs they come with (just $100 to fix). At least they don't cost a ton, $1195 shipped

THX723 has tried differing rates with his Flex setup, not sure what he's running them on right now

A Flex that came from the factory with 10Kg rates (which is the original usdm spring rate and the current JDM Flex spring rate) can be dropped to 9 or 8Kg rates, the current USDM 12Kg Flex setup cannot be dropped that low without a revalve, you can only go +or- 2Kg.

Would these be better than the pitstop ones? If so, I ordered the steel ones last night and they shipped 10 minutes ago! Would the poly ones create more movement? Or would the steel ones create more noise?

I got the RS coils installed today. I got it lowered about 7/8 of an inch in the front and about 3/4 of an inch in the rear. It looks a lot better and the car rides great. I have it set at the softest setting. The ride feels very similar to stock, so I think i'm going to adjust the dampening slightly to make it a little stiffer. I plan on getting the car aligned sometime this week, and I'm crossing my fingers that i'm still within the oem specs.

I really don't think the metal one's will create more noise, the bushings I've been running are awfully hard and I've never had more noise. The Energy bushings are 5 9/16" in diameter. Poly bushings would be a stiffer material then the upper spring seats themselves. If you can work hard enough on getting the metal spacers centered, you should be fine (I just went out to my garage and checked out a rear spring and a upper rubber mount I have sitting around).

Can your Cusco A-arm bring the alingnment back to stock spec? Any follow up comment with ur HKS RS set up? Did you adjust the rear camber?
