Talking Some goodies installed over the weekend...

Got my Tein Flex coilovers w/EDFC installed over the weekend. I love them . Pretty nice ride for coilovers and having the damping control in car is awesome . It is definately stiffer (a little jarring at times) than stock even on the softest damping setting but it is definately nice on twisty backroads.
Heres some pics:

something looks weird about that first pic, why are there 3 locking retainers on the upper shock, and then only one on the lower pic?

Because on the front the springs are actually over the shock itself. So the 2 together are for locking the spring(preload) and the bottom one is for locking the height adjustment. The rear only needs height adjustment on the shock since the spring is seperate from it.

Ill have pics tomorrow. You can adjust the front and rear dampening force (stiffer or softer shocks) of all 4 shocks on the fly. You can change it so you have 16(whole increments) or 32(half increments) levels of dampening force.

Heres pics of the front motors (passengerside and driverside):

and heres pics of the control box mounted near my leg on the driverside:

This location is only temporary and I plan on moving the control box to the ashtray underneath the radio once I figure out how I'm going to mount it in there.

Very nice! Did you get the US spec 12kg springs or the JDM spec 10kg springs? Also how did you determine how much preload to set for the fronts? Interested in hearing how you figured that out.

ooo pretty green. I didn't want to install mine because they looked so nice. Did you like your sticker bag that came with the set?

Did you take the shift boot cover off yet? If you did, you'll notice that the compartment below the stereo is easy to take apart. The back of it unbolts with philip screws, but the door comes off along with that. I'm trying to find an extra one so I can just shave off the rear of it and put the edfc in it.

haha I hated the sticker bag. Not like I'm ever going to use any of the stickers or the emblem that came with it. They should have sent something more useful like a keychain or something.

I was actually thinking of changing the ashtray over to the cubby hole thing that came on the 2003 6mt and putting the EDFC in there. What I really wanted to do was cut out the back of the asktray so that the EDFC can sit in the ashtray and the ashtray still have its open and close funtion so that the EDFC will be hidden and the car still look stock inside.
