Fender Rolling

Fender Rolling
Hi Guys...those of you that have rolled your fenders...did you experience any cracking on the paint at all?
I am getting my car lowered on Thursday and the shop doing it told me they have to roll the fenders to prevent any rubbing. I agreed with them 'cause I can see it hitting it.
However, they explained that sometimes when rolling the fenders, in some cars the paint tends to crack on the outside. Has this happened to anyone?
The other option is to cut the inner lip.
What do you guys think? Any comments from past experience is appreciated.
Thanks.

Look under the rear fenders, the lip is approx .75 wide (and thick) in the middle area and transitions down on each side. Just remove the rear tires/rims. trim appox .38 off as follows. Mask off as required to prevent paint damage and to maintain a straight line, carefully trim (straight) by using a cut-off wheel/grinder and transition down. Touch-up bare metal using primer/enamel as required. Re-install rear tires/rims torquing to 80 ft lbs. If you do a nice job, you won't be able to tell it's modified unless you new how thick the original lip was. That's it!
