Track rims and tires...

Thinking of ordering this setup tomorrow for my coupe.

5Zigen Fn01r-c 17x9 +35 (17.5 pounds each)

Toyo Proxes RA1 255/40R17 (front) 275/40R17 (rear)

My main concern is the 255s not fitting on the front. Anyone else gone with 255s in the front? Anyone see any other glaring problems with this setup?

I know that the trend has been to go same size all the way around, but I think that I can correct for the understeer with suspension, sways and tire pressure.

Are you going to do autocross or track days w/ those tires? I was also thinking about getting wheels/tires for autocross.

I saw on tirerack that Kosei K1 TS were 15.5 lbs each, 17 x 8 though.

Yeah, gonna get those and move from B stock to BSP. They are also going to double as my drag setup even though they aren't exactly meant for it. I went with the 17x9 because I really wanted 275s on the rear.

255's will fit just fine. I have 245's on my 17x8 rims. They match almost perfectly. I run STX so I'm limited to those sizes. I would really be interested to see if 275's would fit up front. One would probably have to go to a smaller offset like +25 or so. I figure with +35 offset you'd have less than 1/4" clearance with 275s, but that is just a guestimate from looking at the clearance on my car.
