245s on stock 18 inch wheels up front?

I just bought a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's for the rear wheels on my Coupe, then i realized they dont make them in 225/45/18 for the front.

Has anyone put 245/45/18s on the front wheels, or are there problems with the VDC since the tires would have a taller profile

Technically if we had 245's all around the car would have better lateral grip right?

the 245 is for the width...and i doubt it would be better grip since it is rear wheel drive...unless you have a g35x then you might get a difference

Get 245/40/18s for the front. That'll maintain the stock diameter so that you won't have any possible VDC problems.

I second that! That is the setup I'll be getting when my stock 18's go bad...

I've been running Eagle F1 GS D3's (245/45/18) on the back for a few thousand miles now and I love them. Great traction and look killer too. I'm going to replace the fronts(still orig. pilot sports) with 245/40/18 this upcoming wednesday.
