Are you talking about the rear?

Are you using a breaker bar? You should feel how tight the WRX suspension are...
hehehe.. compared to that car, the G was pretty easy.

Used breaker bar and air tools and still could not get the thing off.......its the HUGE bolt on the bottom of the sub frame connected to one of the suspension arms....but the bolt is like the biggest bold on there and we just cant get the stupid thing loose!!!!!

how old is your car? Could be slightly rusted on there.

go buy stuff called PB BUSTER. spray it on and spray it some more. then try removing it.

You don't need to remove the lower control arm to get to the strut.

After you disconnect the front endlink, undo the cotter pin and nut you see at the
tip of the upper A arm, collapse the A-arm and knuckle, compress the spring
a little bit while it's on the car and just pull out the strut. It's pretty easy.

reverse when you're ready to mount the strut back onto the car. goodluck
