Lowering w/Springs Only, Suggestion?
Lowering w/Springs Only, Suggestion?
I want to lower my ride about 1" only. Basically I want to lower my car to the max without having to deal with a camber kit. What is your recommendation? Also, how is the Tein S Tech in this situation. Thanx in advance.
I went with 350Z Tein H-Techs having high hopes I wouldnt need a camber kit. After the alignment, my left rear camber was SLIGHTLY out. They set them both the same just a tad out of spec and I could of gotten away without gettin camber arms, but I just got a new set of tires and didnt want them to wear out pre-maturely.
Oh btw, the Z H-tech springs drop the car about .8 in front and .7 in the rear. I would say these springs are the closest you will get to a drop with minimal camber issues. Your only other option is to get the G35 Tein H-techs which drop the car .3 in front and .2 in rear, which will not even be noticed and just a waste of money. For about $550 dollars you could get the 350z tein h-tech springs, spc camber arms and install. Maybe another 50 bucks for alignment a week later and you got yourself about an inch drop... here is a pic of mine.

Rear finger gap:
And the front finger gap:

Hope that helps, good luck

Actually, the G H-techs drop it .6"/.3". It doesn't sound like a lot and maybe you want more of a drop, but it is noticable IMO. All alignment #'s were within stock specs but the front camber was almost out at -1.2.
And a comparison (H-techs on left, stock on right):

Looks like I might have to get a camber kit and if so, what kind? Will I need it for the fronts and the rears?
