are you in a coupe or a sedan...? if your in a coupe the rears should fit as long as you have the right offsets and if you are a sedan the rears will be close. as for the tire sizes... the 285/35/19 has an overall diameter of 26.85 inches. the 245/35/19 has a overall diameter of 25.75 inches and the 245/40/19 has an overall diameter of 26.71 inches. i would personally use the 245/40 in the front as it will be with in 1/4 inch of the diameter of the rear.

245/35 maintains the front oem diameter. 245/40 is too tall.

would a 40 size tire throw off the speedo alot?

Would a 40 size tire give it a smoother ride than a 35 size?

245/40 would be taller because as tires go wider, profile increases as well, even if it's a "40".

Go with either 245/35 or 255/35

Check for yourself which tire size is best. The closer to the stock tire height the better.
