Stock vs Lowered...PIX
Here are some shots of my car compared to a stock one.
Both are 2005 6MT (comes standard w/ "Sport Susp. Pkg"
My car has Espelir "GT" springs for 350Z on it.
Just thought I'd show you guys for those contemplating...this is one option...I LOVE IT!!! ^-^

That looks absolutely beautiful. Great to see what my car would look like slammed! I give his OEM shocks two months before they blow.
Kenchan- for this kind of setup, would you suggest D-Specs for a G35 or D-Specs for a 350z?

made for the Z.

Here is the information I gathered on the Active GT and Super Down springs by Espelir. I am wondering wether I would get better performance/drop from the 350z Active GT or the G35s Super Down.
Active GT
* 350Z / Z33
* Front - 10mm
* Rear - 10mm
* Rate: F-6.9, R-9.2
Active GT
* Infiniti G35 Coupe
* Front - 10mm
* Rear - 10mm
* Rate: F-7.3, R-9.2
Super Down
* Infiniti G35 Sedan
* Front - 40mm
* Rear - 40mm
* Rate: F-4.3, R-6.2
Thanks for the help.

Well, as your info shows...the 350Z Active GT springs' rates are higher than the Super Down for G-Sedan...so, the handling should be better.
However, the G-Coupe Active GT rates are even higher (for the front) than the 350Z...so that should be even stiffer. The rear being the same.
If comfort is of any importance to you, then I'd suggest going w/ the G-Sedan Super Down.
But if its performance you're after, either one of the Active GT...350Z or G-Coupe...will be fine. Besides, they're not stiff to the point of being uncomfortable anyways.
Which ever route you go, though...I'd strongly suggest upgrading your struts as well...either w/ factory "sport suspension" units, or aftermarket units. The basic, non-adjustable KYB or Tokico should make you very happy...and they're reasonably priced too.

My only concern is that there will be too much increased weight transfer to either the front or back, and that my handling will get worse due to such a severe drop.
Hi Boris,
350Z D-Specs is (from what I read) valved the same as the ones for
the coupes and sedans. Only difference is the shorter body. If those
springs are built for 350Z's, im sure the D-Spec will be able to handle
those springs.
Lowering center of gravity is good for improving handling, but there
are many potential side effects for the change...such as...
not enough sus travel (stroke), roll center being lower causing more
roll, distorted road feedback due to progressive rate springs (if the
list you have are progressive rate), and alignment issues where your
sus geometry is out of spec.
We buy other parts such as control rods, swaybars, dampers to
lessen these sideeffects while improving handling to some degree.
Out of your below choices, I would choose below for best compromise
in looks and styling. The -10mm drop for coupe will go undetected
by most people. The -40mm drop for sedan imho is too low for
street performance.
Active GT
* 350Z / Z33
* Front - 10mm
* Rear - 10mm
* Rate: F-6.9, R-9.2
hope this helps!
