4 burning Suspension questions

1. Does anybody have a link to the FAQ that shows pictures of spring replacement. I remember seeing it a while back but can't find it now.

2. I have a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs. Realistically what drop will I see? Is it the 1.1",1.0 that Eibach advertises? I really don't want to go any lower than that.

3. My plan is to eventually go to a set of Tokico D spec dampers. I know the original sport suspension dampers are made by Tokico I would assume that my current dampers would buy me at least another 25K of use, am I wrong?

4. If I did replace just the spring and not the struts, do I need to re-align later when I replace the struts? It appears that the alignment is done to the control arms and not the strut housing.

1. http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=25

2. Don't know this one.

3. Not exactly sure about 25K but the stock sport suspension shocks should be able to hold up to the Pro Kit springs since they moderately lower about an advertised 1". I don't think it's unreasonable to expect 25K.

4. Yes, you would need to realign again.

Expect -1.2 front, -1.4 rear...well, at least that's wat I got.

How many miles do you have on right now? if new, maybe 25k..but the
springs will be underdamped. You'll want D-specs.

Alignment after damper-only install is recommended, but
not necessary.

Thanks guys for the info. I just recently plunked down a bunch of money for a set of wheels. I spent more than I really wanted to so that I could get 19's instead of 18's. I just can't justify another $500 for tokicos at this point. My wife is already concerned with the price of the wheels. I already bought the springs last month and have been itching to put them on.

Yeah, like kenchan said, just wait till you can get Tokicos to install the springs. No point in doing the labor twice.
