Rear Tire Size Falken FK-451

Looking for some Falken FK-451's to go with 9.5 rims in the back. Unfortunately they don't come in 275/35/19, only 275/30/19 or 285/35/19.

First, will the 285/35/19's rub?

Second, is anyone running 285/35/19's with a set of Volk's so that I might see the look? I'm concerned that the 285/35's might look like too much tire.

Thanks!

Go with the 275/30 tires, because the 285/35 tires are about $100 more a tire since not many brands make that size. It's all about supply and demand...

I'm running the Falken 451's in a 285/35... I think it fills out the fender just about right... I was running 275/30's but I felt they were too small for the rear... (almost the same diameter as the fronts) My speedo is dead on with the 285/35's as an added bonus... Sorry, not running Volks, so I don't have a pic for ya... Also, I'm running 10's on the rear and the 285 is stretched... From my experience Falkens tend to be on the narrower side as compared to we'll say the Nitto 555's... I personally would not go smaller, but it comes down to preference...

Here's a pic of my 04 coupe that is on 19x8 and 19x9.5 rims and running the falken FK451 245/35/19 and 285/35/19. Stock height and all. I had previously installed the 30 series (ROUGHT RIDE) and the change in performance and comfort was amazing to the 35 series. If you like the look, the tire performance is excellent.

I know someone with 275/30 on his 9.5 Volk Rim... Looks good and there is definitely no rubbing issues.

Thanks for all the input guys! I am also going to lower the ride via Eibach prokit. Are any of your G's lowered? And might that increase the prob. that they'll rub?

I'm lowered and I had rubbing issues, but that had nothing to do with the tires... It has everything to do with how your wheels fit on your car... I had issues with the Nitto 555 - 275/30-19's... I took care of that and when I went to the Falken 451 - 285/35-19's I did not have any issues...

I would not use 275/30/19's. they're too small.... also check load limits of the tire.

I would use 285/35/19 if those two were my only choices.
