well heres the situation...my G got impounded for my stupidity 2 weeks ago with my new SBC coating rims on...long story short, its gonna be stuck in the impound lot for 60 days...wat im wonderin is will my rims start rusting cause i live in vancouver and it rains pretty damn often...should i invest in a car cover for the time being?

 

Forgive me for saying...but yes it is a stupid questioin. No your rims will not rust. Your rotors will have some rust on the surface but will clear up once you get rolling.

What's up with 60 days hold up?

driving on a suspended license (which i didnt know about at the time i got pulled over cause i JUST got bak into town)...vancovuer is crackin down on a lot of driving issues so the supernintendent issued 60 day impoundments (from 30 before) for 1st time offenders...2nd time, 90 days, 3rd time u dont get ur car bak!

 

**** man...sorry to hear. That really sucks especially here in Canada where we worship every bit of warm weather we get every year.

u should see the car =( the lot is beside a construction place and i went a few days after they impounded it to grab sum stuff outta my car and the G was disgusting!

as for gettin to work OR skool for that matter, ICBC (bcs insurance company) couldnt care less...all they want is freakin money...i gotta pay another 1100 on top to get the car OUT of the impound...wat a load of crap...anyways just ranting.

o ya i got it suspended for a speeding ticket, but the cop though i was racing...and guess wat the other car was??? a fukin 350z...ahhh i hate them hahah. not the first time its gotten me **** those damn 350s :P

 

hahha are u sure about that? vancouvers absolutely beautiful in the summer. im just gonna miss cruisin around in my G for pretty much the whole summer now

 

That sucks bad. Your wheels won't rust, maybe some water marks but nothing too bad. If you haven't already make sure you protect your wheels with some wheel sealant. This will keep them from letting any standing water stain the wheel or from brake dust and contamintion from baking into the wheel.
