Agreed customer service should be judged by what a company does when @#$% hits the fan not by doing what they were suppose to do....

When I ordered Asanti's it was a 4-6 week wait, got them 10 weeks later. Their custom wheels thats part of the process the wait, it also is what makes these type of wheels great you just can't go and get them.

Gives you a lil more exclusivity.

I wrote DPE a very detailed email expressing my concern. I am awaiting their response. We'll see what happens.

First off, I will never, ever, ever buy a set of iForged wheels. If you think DPE takes awile and has some issues with timing, you should have seen all the **** the is300 guys went through. People went on for about 6-8 MONTHS without getting their wheels. I have personal qualms with iForged as well, but that is because of absolute garbage service and owners that are just all around shady people.

That being said, I was the first person to order a 20" DPE wheel. The company is new, it has incredibly competitive pricing (prices went up due to material costs, not a company decision) and you can't beat the customer service if you order from the right place. I have had over 200 PMs in my box in the past 6 months alone, regarding DPE wheels. I have probably referred at least 50 people directly to my contact at DPE to get great deals and to grab a great set of wheels. I am currently waiting on my second set of wheels and I am also hoping that they get them done in a timely matter, but you just have to sit back and accept the fact that it is a custom wheel order, no matter what. If you don't want to wait, by all means spend more money for HRE or take your chances with iForged.

In my opinion DPE is the hottest forged wheel company right now, and if you don't believe it, check out one of the many BMW forums where there are at least 2 or 3 threads every week being posted about new DPE's. DPE is coming out with some pretty unique stuff as well, unlike iForged which just bites off every other company's style.

[/end rant]

We have turned into a microwave society!!!

This is no way close to being a horror story regarding DPE's!

You may have not read the thread about the guy who sent off his damaged IForged wheel and went almost a year without it, just for it come back in the same condition he sent it in! That is a horror story.

IMHO if you set up a realistic wait time based on everyone elses experiences then you won't be dissapointed.

I sent two emails to a distributor regarding the Impul kit once, I got two very different responses!

The message read: I am interested in the impul kit what is the wait time?

1. Response from the salesman: We are the fastest shipper of this kit and we have containers shipped from Japan every 2-3 weeks.

2. Response from the Shipping Department: We have containers from Japan every 2-3 weeks but because of the manufacturer expect a wait time of 12 - 16 weeks.

The answers I got back is what Pisses me off about these companies. If I would have relied on the salesman and had the 2-3 weeks floating around my head and it took 16 weeks I would have flamed the hell out of the company!

I am also in sales and it Ultimately it boils down to one thing "Underpromise and Overdeliver"!!!
