Check these out - MODULAR WHEELS

Have anyone heard of these wheels?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...Specifications

I found them on ebay and I am really curious to see why the rims are selling so cheap. According to the seller, these are forged wheels with a retail price of $5,000. If that is really the case, then these are a steal!!! Which I highly doubt?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

They're a fake 3 piece, cast wheel. NOT forged. And the guy can't spell Infiniti either.

Ask for a picture of the rear of the wheel to see if it's truly 3-piece. You'll see the rivet bolts from the back, which this wheel doesn't have.

oops, I meant to say M-Classics like below.
The picts shown on your link is not a true modular wheel. it's just painted like that.

If he can't spell the name of your car correctly than you should be skeptical.

Thanks guys! I was really skeptical because the deal just seemed too good to be true so I figure you (collectively) would provide more information. I am currely searching for a nice set (have been doing it for 1 year now) because I freaking dented my rim driving through Jersey City, NJ. Anyhow. Thanks for the help and I guess the search goes on...

here's a line quoted from that auction:

2005 INFINITY G35 3pc STYLE Forged MODULAR WHEELS!!! Just ARRIVED!!! Made by MODULARWHEELS for G35, I30,I35,J30,Q45 MODELS.

see the word "STYLE". style = fake = cheap.

"If you're in the market for INFINITY style rims,..."

those don't look like any OEM Infiniti rims I've ever seen.

So it's clearly stated that it's not multi-piece. I highly doubt it's forged either...
