Pilot Sport A/S review

What a difference these tires make to my sedan!!!!
The car seems to be very stable and the ride is more sophisticated (not to say its softer)..... It corners very well and so much traction but one thing that is bothering me is the acceleration... Since I used 235/50R17 compared to the stock size, the car felt more sluggish..... Is this the problem of wider tires or are the tires just not broken in yet....??

Can PS A/S owners pleae help me out!

Update on this, the tires are now run in and it is sensational......
The car's manners changed so much, these tires should be the OEM tires for the G.

Pilots were stock in the 04 Coupes w/18" wheels. They are nice, but a little pricey. I'm probably going to go with Potenzas when I need new tires.

These are Pilot Sport A/S not normal Pilot sport......
These new tires are for my sedan.

Well, depends on which Potenzas you are going for...
Most people would go for S03 but I think I heard some good reviews for RE050 as well...
You should consider Toyo Proxes T1R though, should be a very good tire.

Are the new tires any heavier? I don't think wider tires would really make that much difference in acceleration.

Renesis--if I may ask did you have the Eagle GS-D's before the Pilot Sport A/S's?? I just got a non-fixable flat on my OEM GS-D's and have some Pilot Sport A/S's on order--also did you go up from the 215's? Thanks for any info!

Pilots stick very well....but pretty ugly looking imo.

I want to swap out my factory 18's with S03's.

I just did the same upgrade; Pilot Sport A/S in 235/50/17. I also notice that the car seems a little more sluggish. I'm wondering if the added unsprung weight is causing this. The car feels more planted, but it doesn't feel as quick and nimble as before. I think I'm going to go with a wider and lighter wheel; maybe the SSR GT3. I also don't think that these are the greatest looking tires unless your car is dropped and you can't see all the tread. I've used the Pilot A/S on my other car and I've been very happy with them.
