wider tires = vdc not work?

i read on a few threads that if you get wider tires, the vdc will be kicking in more often and will ruin the ride? i want to get 255/35/20 all around and i would like to know if i am going to receive any problems at all? will my vdc kick in most of the time? do i have to roll my front or back fenders at all? if i have to roll my fenders at all then im' going to get the 245/35/20 instead. will i notice a big difference between the 245 and 255? thanks ahead of time for any information given. i truly appreciate it.

is it better to get 245/35/20 or 255/35/20 all around? do i have to roll my fenders for these wide tires? or should i just get 245/35/20 F and 255/35/20 R??
i dont want to roll my fenders at all. the wheel width is 8.5

VDC only gets iffy when the tire diameter is changed. Get the tire size that's closest to the stock tire diameter. No need to stagger as 245s all around already offer better traction than the stock tires.

I think VDC will kick in when the rotating speeds between the front and rear wheels differ too much. If you're going to be putting in the same size tires all around like on a Sedan, then the size and width won't matter at all. But if you are getting a staggered setup, then I believe the key is to keep the overall tire diameter size the same with respect to each other.

I've run 245's all the way around and also with 255's in the rear. Even with a different tread compound on those 255's and a ever so slightly taller tire, VDC has funtioned just fine like it's supposed to. I would NOT run front to rear tires that differ in height like they do on the coupe however.

I have 255/35/20 on 8.5 all the way around. VDC works fine. Actually saved my **** a few times. No need to roll fenders. I liked the fact that I could rotate my tires back to front. The only thing is the rear could be wider. Wheels don't come out flush with the rear fender. Front looks perfect.
