Sway Bars Decision

Hey guys, I need to decide on what sways to get. It seems all the threads I have read show that all of them are good. Then I have also heard from people in person that the Hotchkis sways are the best and very well priced. I am looking toward the hotchkis, is this the best chioce? If you have links to good informative threads I would like to read up some more. One more thing is that I have read about haveing to buy soemm exta hardware for the sways, if anyone has the link to that thread I would appreciate it. I know I am asking for alot, iI tried to search. Thanks

Dan

Here's the thread you need to read about collar's for sway bars that don't come with them. I recommend using them. Though Stillen's have them built in.

I would not make any bars stiffness claims be a guiding force, not unless your dong SCCA and your only able to run a front bar only. Simply pick a bar set that is adjustable front and rear, has the collar system you want or you know your going to be able to order some to add on, that's from a brand name you trust at a price point you feel is justified.

Good Point. Thanks. I like the idea of the collars allready applied to the bars. Its not a big deal to put some on but if the installlation calls for them then they should come with them in the set. Anyone else agree?

IMO, I would not buy the Hotchkis bars without also buying collar's too. But, to add them you have to be able to actually navigate the path of ordering them. I just picked up a used Hotchkis front bar to go with the 350EVO rear bar I already have. One thing that sealed the deal was that the seller was running collars and they would be included at the purchase price.

yeh, Hotchikis blotched their bar kit in terms of not including those collars.

Just get a set of Sillens very economically priced and collars are already
welded on.

I will look into the stillens. I will have to read up on them. Do the new Cuscos have collars on them?

Ok I like the Idea now of the stillens because of the built in collars. I also found them for $269 at Intense motorsports. Not sure what shipping is. I am now looking to find some place close to me the will have the polyurethane bushings. Lastly I don't think I will need 7 settings for the sways but at least I know its there to use. Talk to ya later. once I find bushings, its time to order the sways.

EDIT: Just one more thing, is this a good decision or would you have gone with anything else, if so why? Thanks

Im using my stillens over stock bushings....working fine the last 6k+ miles.

for the most part, you only need the 3 settings you can only use on
stock endlinks. you'll be fine.

Ok guys heres an update. I have been mostly posting in the "Sway Bars Summary" thread now. Its a great thread.

Anyways. I have ordered polyurethane bushings from Summit Racing. They are the Energy Suspension brand. The pricing is great at $13.95 for each set, front and back. The total with shipping was $36.85. I am most likly going to order the sways from Intense Motorsports but I am still trying to get incontact with somone on another forum that said they can get the Stillens for a great price. I will update on how much I spent on those too.

Hello,

Here's a good link for specs on the majority of the sway bars available for 350Z/G35. It was compiled by the owner of the local 350Z forum in AZ, which we sponsor. Hope this helps:
