9.5 vs 10.5 on Rear
19x9.5 vs 19x10.5 on Rear
Can someone give me the pros and cons between doing either 19x9.5 vs 19x10.5 on the Rear on an unlowered coupe?
Thanks
Thanks

I don't know what kind of "pros" and "cons" you are looking for exactly but;
9.5 = less weight, slimmer look, possibly more size matched with the fronts depending on what size fronts you are running
10.5 = more weight, beefier look, possible bigger tire contact patch depending on what size tires you plan to run.
Either wheel could be made to fit flush with the fender wells depending on the offset.
It all depends of what you are looking for in wheel looks. What are your concerns or desires?

theyll be 19x8.5 on the front. The reason why I was asking is because Ive been looking at 19x10.5's but the rims I want will take a couple months to come in.
However, there is a shop close to me that says they are getting in some 19x8.5's and 19x9.5's in the next couple days. So, do I wait and special order the 10.5 or go with the 9.5's.
The rims Im looking at are Volk SF Challenge in black.

I'd say that is a personal preference. I don't think there will be a huge performance difference between the two.
If it were me, I would probably go with the 9.5. But that's me. I don't really like the look of a big stagger difference between the fronts and rears. But if you do, go for the bigger wheel.

I have 10.5 in the rear. It's huge! It's just about flush with the fender. I would have liked 10" max. It gives the illusion that it sticks out, and you have to allign yourself with the back to see if it does. I don't like that personally. I don't know how much of a difference the 9.5 will be vs the 10.5 in regards to performance. When I had the OEM 18's I was always tail happy on purpose. I miss not being able to do the same with the 10.5s. When the rears lose grip now, I am well past my comfort limit on public roads.

Tried to send you a PM with the info but your mailbox is full.
I had the same problem- settle for the 9.5 rears that were in stock, or special order the 10.5s. I decided if Im spending all that money, I might as well get exactly what I want, which was the 10.5. So, I special ordered and am just putting up with the wait.
10.5" rears are nice. i like the wider porsche-esque stance from the rear.
from my observations, 10.5" rears need wider tires which probably will cause rubbing issues on a dropped car. my car was dropped with eibach pro's and had 295/35 on the rears... needed extensive fender rolling/cutting. wonder if 285's will cause rubbing too.
i vaguely recall those with 9.5" rears and 275/35 or 30 do not have rubbing problems with a dropped car.

Hey path if you plan on doing autocross i would just go buy some cheap 17" wheels and use those..You may have problems with that setup. I would do a search for Balzz ( i think that's how you spell it) he does autocross maybe he will be able to better advise you on that.
