20's, lowererd, and rubbing

My G rubs on 245/35/20's in the front a bit when turning at slow speeds, (up driveways, into parking lots, etc.)

Just wondering if anyone else encounters this with a similar setup. I'm lowered on Eibach's and it rubs what appears to be the plastic inner lip.

Re: 20's, lowererd, and rubbing

I think my rubs too.. I haven't verified if it. What happens is when I do a right turn, the car seems to bog down for a split second. I'm not sure if the VDC is engaging or not cause I can't look down fast enough to see if the light is flashing. I'll pay more attention next time.

I have a coupe BTW

if your lowered you may rub. guys said before that if your going to lower the car go with 19's, if not got with 20's. either, raise the car or get 19's.

20's, 19's, or 18's, rim size doesn't matter. Your picking tire diameters that are all extreamly close. What matter's is if you researched your offset needs correctly and you choose a tire width that will work. I'm running 245/40-18 all the way around on my sedan, no rubbing, no matter if I'm turning or have the suspension fully compressed.

I'll just live with it. I dont' want to raise it, and it's very, very minor. The rims/tires were guaranteed to fit, however. Just a word of warning to anyone else who goes with the same setup.

I have 245/30/20's, I incorrectly posted it to begin with. (Just a side note)

What are the offsets on your wheels??? that could be your problem.

Yes, offset is the problem here. With the correct offset, the front could take 9"s in the front and 10.5"s in the rear. Word of advice, know your offset before you order any wheels.........do not count on the shop or wheel dealer to search for it for you.

Re: 20's, lowererd, and rubbing

This thread wasn't labeled, so I understand, we are talking about a sedan not a coupe. You can't fit as wide of a rim on the sedan as the coupe.

I renew my call to label your threads, coupe or sedan.

ADR Sterling's...I only seem to rub on sharp, inclined turns or if the streep has a big-a$$ hump in it.

Re: 20's, lowererd, and rubbing

Same here... 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 in rear. Is the rubbing in the front or rear? I am very satisfied with the rear set up but wish my front would be a little lower. Anyone just lower the front and not the rear?
