Stock 17" on Performance Coupe???

Has anyone tried to put the stock 17" rims on the coupe with Brembos and 18" rims??

I'm just wondering if there is enough clearance for the Brembos there.

thanks

I'm a speed freak. with the smaller rims on any car it always bumps up WHP =).
I can always use more HP and TQ. Theres never enough!

Asking the same questions about 17's clearing the Brembo Calipers.

I can't speak for the G35 coupe, but on a Porsche 17" wheels are the minimum for having the big red brembos, 16" won't fit and of course 18" clears as well. See if your dealer will let you bring the car in and test fit a 17" off another car on the lot to see if it clears. I suspect it will.

Nothing wrong with having 17's on this car either, remember a few years ago 17" wheels were considered "HUGE!" of course times change and now people want 20" wheels, in 5 years it could be 25" wheels...

i don't think it is so much the size(17" vs. 18") issue. Brembos are very think and as far as i can tell, the 18"s have design to sort or wrap around them, i don't hink the 17" have same design.

I'll see if i can try this at the dealer

I think you're right genna. I can't put my little finger between the calipers and the wheels on my coupe. The wheels do appear to curve to fit around the brakes. A local wheel shop has been putting spacers on aftermarket wheels to clear the brakes but I think thats a poor solution.

Yes, they will fit! I have my Track model Z apart at the moment for a few upgrades and just test fitted the 17's off of my wife's coupe. They fit just fine, and will be my auto-x wheel.
