Shipping Rims & Tires

I sold some rims and tires on here, and was wondering if anyone knew what the least expensive way to package and ship them is. I checked a local store and for ups ground they wanted almost $200 which they can suck my ******* for as well.

Well, it depends on how far away the person is you are shipping it to - the absolute cheapest way to ship is to fill up the G w/ super premium and hit the road for a weekend roadtrip! See how far it is to meet him halfway, or if that is out of the question, see if you can get him to foot half of the shipping bill - at any rate, good luck!

Re: Shipping Rims & Tires

200 bucks seems high. I think if you actually go to the UPS Counter it is cheaper (i estimate that it will cost you about $38 a rim with tires from CA to NY). Going to authorize dealers will rip you off or I guess add their service charge.
Good Luck

Re: Shipping Rims & Tires

Just an FYI, if you go to one of those retail stores like Mailboxes Etc, their mark up is 100%. That means you'll pay twice as much as if you had taken it to UPS or had them pick it up.
