Brake Work Already!!!!!!

I've had my car 11 months and just had brake work completed. New Rotors and new brake pads... Turns out Infiniti has realized that the compound was too thin. They've come out with a new brake pads for the rear brakes. You'll know if you have a problem becuase the brakes squeak awefully loud!

I love my car..but I'm not happy about the early brake wear and tear! They say it's normal for the brakes to need work after about every 17, 18 thousand miles!!! That just seems insane!

Anyone else run into the same problem?

That is the range that some of our members have been experiencing. There are a number of posts in this Forum before yours that says the same thing.

Guys, the toy in my Signature is a Sedan. Not sure you are talking to me but from reading numerous posts on the brakes it seems to apply to pretty much everyone except the Brembo guys (they complain about the squeaking).

See my sig? Ya'll should do that. The sig limit was recently expanded, so you should have enough room for a short car description and a some other rhetorical one-liner.

Re: Brake Work Already!!!G35 Sedan

BTW... the squeeking is the low wear indicator, doesn't really indicate a problem per se, just that it's time for replacement pads.
