stock tires for 6 speed

My 6 speed came with Bridgestone tires, but I thought the 6 speeds came with michelin pilots. Did anyone else get Bridgestone w/ their 6 sp? Is there a real difference b/w the pilot and Bridgestone tires?

I got the Bridgestones too, I believe all 05 come with them ... I had the pilots on my 03 coupe and yea there is a difference. The bridgestones suck in comparison.

-Just to add maybe its not just the tires themselves but the 19" instead of 18" rims I had on the 03 Coupe, thats why Im going aftermarket 18" rims after the winter. Then it will be between the Michelin Pilots, the BFG G-Force KDW2 or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.

Right all the '05 19s have Bridgestones and all the '05 18s are still the same Michelins that were furnished on the '03s and '04s with 18s. I've never seen one with Pirellis!

I have an 05 AT with perf & tire package that came with 19" Bridgestones. No problems at 7000 miles, but the Bridgestones are noisier than Michelins.

Any suggestions for replacement after my stock tires are done? I heard bad things about the Pilots as well

The michelin PS2's are probably the best all around street tire you can buy. They are really expensive though. They do weight about 5 lbs. lighter than the bridgestones, for same size tire. You'll probably see a little improvement in acceleration with the PS2's because they are light, so you could justify the extra cash because it's a handling and power mod. Hehe

I have heard good things about Potenza's. S03 supposed to be better than the stock Pliot sports we use. That's where i'm going next. I was shocked by the huge gaps between the treads on the PS2's plus they only last about 15K miles or so I've heard.....not worth the money I say just for everyday driving.
