Unusual situation and fitment question... is this ok?

Okay this situation is a bit funny so bear with me. I have two sets of wheels. FN01R-C 17x8 +42 for the street. Stock Mitsu EVO Enkei wheels 17x8 +38 for the track. Let's say one day down the road I'm going to get a front Stoptech 13" kit. Let's say that my FN01R-C wheel won't clear the Stoptech caliper but the stock EVO wheels fit just fine. Now in order to make the FN01R-C fit I need to use a 5mm H&R spacer with longer bolts. Let's also assume that the stock EVO wheel will rub the outside fender if I put it on with the H&R spacer. So lets say I put the stock EVO wheel on without the spacer but still with the longer bolts from the 5mm kit. My question is will I still be able to torque down the lug nuts all the way on the EVO wheel since the hub bolts are longer? I'm assuming it will be fine since the bolts aren't too much longer.

as long as the lug nuts are open ended. otherwise the stud might/will "bottom out" on the nut

That's what I was afraid of. Guess I might have to get a set of open ended lugs just for the track days. Thankx.

yeah, whenever you use extended studs, open ended lugs are highly recommended.
