Steering wheel shakes after new wheels/springs?

Hi all,

I just got some 19" Luff M1's with Hankooks all around. 19x8.5 and 19x10.5
with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I also lowered it with Tein S-Techs springs, with stock shocks absorbers.

When I go pass 70 mph, on almost any road service or freeways, there is a vibration on my steering wheel. Its pretty noticable, its like a massage chair.
The vibrations drastically increases as it gets pass 70 MPH. Below 70, vibration is much more subtle.

The wheels were balanced by the shop that sold the rims.

Has anybody seen the same problems?

Make sure youve got centering rings on your wheels - hubcentric rings some call them. This will reduce the shaking A LOT, but sometimes aftermarket wheels/springs have that effect on the G. I used to get that on my old G35x with 19 inch Axis's on it. The hubcentric rings cleared it up almost 100%!

hope that helps

I recommend getting the wheels rebalanced on a Hunter roadforce.

Springs

Well, I made sure the hub rings were on there. I watched the guy put it on.
Could it be a spring/shock issue? Or something is loose?
Or are the rims most likely at fault?

Or your tires are out of round. Or the shop has not recently recalibrated the balancing machine.

You couldn't buy any other tires beside Hankook?? Well step 1 rebalance all the four tires, have them put poly- hubrings or you can get em at discount tires also just to be in the safe side check your rotors. But i think it's most likely the tires which is causing all the problem. I once had Honkook K14 with RH wheels on my Is300 lowered with hotchkis springs & i had the same problem i end up getting BF goodrich & the problem is solved. Anyways keep us updated.
