Widest Wheels W/ No Rub...

Hey guys...

just purchased a 05 6mt coupe and i wanna put some 20s on it later. i just wanna know whats the widest i can go. Some performance shop told me that 20x9.5 Front and 20x10.5 rears wont rub. Even with a Tien S tech drop. Is this true?

I wanna go with the fattest lip possible in the front and rear with no rub or rolling the fenders. Whats the best i can do? Thanks

Not a simple question to answer.....

It depends on the wheel design and the offset.

Our G's have some big fender wells.

I personally have 9.5f & 10.5 r Volks.

The style of rim & offset will get you the most lip.A 11' rim compared to a 10" rim the lip will be the same. It's the distance between the hub & fender that counts. The best way to get the most lip is with a custom multi piece rim.

yeah this is what im looking for. Most lip possible.

someone told me fat lip factor has to do with offsets? is that true?

for width im probably gonna go with 9.5/10.5 but i just wanna be able to get fat lips in the front as well... cuz most i see have big dish lips in the back but the fronts never have a good amount of a lip.

dat is tru. you could get a 20x11 w/ a +40 offset and a 20x9 w/ a +19 offset and the 20x9 would have a fatter lip. but it also depends of the style of rim too. alot of factors come into play. i would choose a style first and then go from there. whether it be, mesh, 5 star, 6 spoke, multi spoke, etc... then we can help you from there.

With iFORGED Wheels no, there is no difference in the lip based on spoke count, however there are 2 different forging types one of which yields a 1" larger lip. For instance on iFORGED Seneka's you get a 4" rear lip on a G35c, and with Essen you get a 5" rear lip on a G35c.

We have a set of DPE 20x8.5 and 20x10 overstock available now if your interested. Its the GT7 in gunmetal. 4 1/4" lip in the rear and and 2" in the front. Made to clear BBK's if you plan to do so in the future.
