Volk SF Challenge

I will be ordering a set of SF Challenges to ship to Hawaii shortly from Wheel Options in El Monte, CA. The sales rep. says that I should get a 23 mm offset for both the front and rear set. (19x9.5 and 19x10.5). I just need a sanity check to make sure these offsets sound okay. He said that the 23 mm for the front is because of the non-brembos.

Also, can someone post a side shot photo of SF-Challenges on an 05 coupe on stock suspension?

I appreciate the help.

I am glad kaloman brought this up, or else i would had to open a new thread. I am very close to order my SF challenge as well, i am going for 19x9.5 front with 19x10.5 rear with Toyo T1R 245/35 front - 275/35 rear. I am also planning on doing H-tech 350z tein springs. Now Please can some one please tell me what is the rite offset i need on them rims. My ride is 05 coupe / sports tuned susupension no brembo. Based on the your responce i can go ahead & order this wheels.

I would go with Sen_Jen's specs of +28 in the front and +23 rear on a 9.5 and 10.5 setup.

The +23 in the front should be okay on a non-Brembo setup. However, if you ever plan on getting a big brake kit...then you more than likely will have some issues in clearance. You can still clear...but you might be using spacers, not really the best option if you can get the rim to clear already without them. The offsets are not the issue...I believe the design is a little different from the +28 offset. One spoke design is a little more concave than the other to provide for the extra clearance.

The +23 rear is no biggie as the brakes back there are a little smaller. However...once again the same thing applies to the rears as the fronts depending on what you are going to do. For me, I plan to rip out all of the stock brake system....so to me it is a valid concern. I am not too sure what are or will be your future plans. 275/35 19's might just clip the edge of the fenders though if you drop your car low enough. If you leave about an inch and a quarter between the tire and the fender...more than likely you will be okay. Use stiffer springs though. Tokicos shocks on S-Techs might be close to the Nismo S-Tuned suspension. Assuming you were not going to do a full coilover swap.

You should inquire with the dealers on this forum. I dont know where they moved the vendors classified though. Some of them are offering some killer deals. So far I have been ordering things from Performance Parts Nissan and they have been great and very helpful.

Goodluck.

here's the wheel sizing chart from Rays engineering.

http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/r...l_spec.jpg.gif

for bigger brakes, it says you need to run High Offset for the 19s and Super High Offset for the 18s...

it's a little different for each wheel manufacturer, for example, my BLITZ Technospeed Z1s are 19x9 and 19x10 with 22mm High Disk Offset. It clears my Brembos and more with no issues with space.

Thanks guys for the input. I decided to go with the 23mm offsets for the front and rear for two reasons; availability and I'm not planning on upgrading the brake system anytime in the near future. I just hope they ship to Hawaii okay from Cali.

^ wow, i had no idea they made +23 for all around. i would've gone with 18x10 ff, and 18x11 rr. yeah, 18's is kinda small, but G's weigh gazillions.

I went with 255/35/19 for the front and 285/35/19 for the rears. You may need to roll your fenders depending on how low you go. In my case it was a must.

I can't stop lookin at your ride!! Even though I promised myself I would not buy anymore goodies for my car, specially since it's almost 2months old, I'm getting the mod itch again !! My conscience is telling me not to, but I can't resist the temptation of getting a set of Volk SF Challenge for my ride !! Oh man....what to do, what to do.....

Oh, ok. I still think that car is bangin'! After seeing your car, I searched for similar rims but did not come across any gunmetal ones for sale ?? Were yours painted after you purchased a set?
