whats the diff??
whats the difference between 18in wheels that cost 1500 and other 18 in wheels that cost 3000 or more....when they look similar but ones is a zigen or exel and the other is BBS???
Is it just the brand name or is quality that much different....does one break easier than the other??

Re: whats the diff??
Ryoken,
How are 5zigen wheels. I am looking to maybe get some for my sedan. They have a 18 inch cast wheel which is 18 pounds according to there site the wheel is FN01r-c which seems really light for a cast. Whats the best 5zigen wheel as far as fitment goes and quality for a sedan in a 18x7.5 input from anyone would be appreciated I want to place an order but do not want to make a mistake.

18lbs for an 18-inch wheel is impressive for forged wheels. They pulled that off with cast wheels?
I don't know much about 5zigen, or many of the brands for that matter. I've just read up on the different types of technology involved, as some day I plan to get a spare set of rims to put DOT racing tires on for autocross.

every second goes by... technology increases efficiency.
5zigen is a very reputable company in japan as well as here, stateside. I am guessing, their rims are made in Japan... the quality in japan made products are absolutely flawless... and the Japanese quality control probably exceeds most (if not all) around the globe. I would say go for 5zigen rims... they're not really expensive, considering how well these rims are made and controlled.
There are forged rims that go sub-pound-per-inch these days.. Look at Bridgestone's Rozest.. talk about magnesium magic!
