A question on the F1 GS-D3's...

How noisy do these things get once worn a bit? No question performance wise that these things are top notch but I don't want to have tires that are much louder than the garbage RS-A's that came standard on my sedan.

Any insights from those who have lived with these tires for more than a few thousand miles?

Ken...

cnts13- the tires are noisy as any performance tires are after about 25% tread used. If you want a quiet tire, try all season tires like the Falken ST115's and 512's. I know Yokohama Avids and Sumitomo HTR+'s are also
quiet tires from actual experience.

nice! I have no basis of comparison, but i'm lovin my KDW's, especially in the rain. wet traction is awesome, I sometimes find it hard to break em loose from hard launch. the car also is very stable when u swing the back out around turns, it feels very predictable. BUT i have not taken these tires to the limit, especially on wet surfaces, i'm trying to avoid a "Crashed my G! Please Help!" thread. I've got about 10K on them, and the wear is terrific! I just mounted my snows and took a look at my KDW's, no unusual wear except for the rear driver's side (the side i kick the back out more often with), I think I can get at least another 6K out of these tires before I see some serious wear. Dry weather is also pretty awesome as compared to stock michelin's. These puppies stick, especially when you warm them up pretty good and run them in warm weather. No problems so far except that on dry roads I cant kick the back out on turns. A very stable tire IMO compared to stock. Plus they were free =)
