That's what I read too before going to Firestone. It didn't have the (^) symbol but the techs at both locations said I'm running flats on the G.

I just had mine fixed by NTB. It was in the exact same spot. About 1 inch from the sidewall. They said that it was barely fixable. If it was even a bit more closer the tire would have been toast. But they did warn me, that it is possible since the patch is slightly up on the sidewall inside that if I hit a pot hole it might knock it off. I said I don't make a habit of hitting pot holes. LOL!.

Anways, take it to Discount or NTB they should be able to fix it.
