does anybody have offset -17 in rear on their volks. wheelautohaus told me the lowest offset if 23 for biggest lip and still clearing the brembos. but i found out from f1motoring that 17 will give you the biggest lip.

without brembo you can go down to +12 or so, depending on what style volk.

im pretty sure that +23 is the lowest you can go with brembo/BBk.

if i remember correctly the 17 requires modification to the body (rolling) to get them to fit....the 23 does not...(for the SF winnings at least).....and 17 gives you the bigger lip...like i said..its been a while since i bought my rims, but I think this is right

do a search on this....it has been discussed before....

These are my current settings:
SF-Winning: Mercury Silver

19x9.5 FR Falken ST-115 Tires
19x10.5 RR Falken FK-451 Tires

+17 and +19
+17 and +19

This offset is squeezing every bit of lip you can possible give. the lips on these are HUGE. However when you drop it your going to have rubbing issues, but its only going to happen when you go over low dips or high speed bumps. so evidentlly if don't want to deal with the rubbing issue or rolling your fenders, i suggest you don't get the +17 offsets. they +21 +23 work wonders and don't rub when you drop then at 1".

+28 is the wrong offset if you wanna get the biggest lip out of the front. you arent maximizing the lipage from the 9.5 rim. the lip with +28 is the same as a 8.5 +23 .

the vendor is just trying to dump undesirable offsets on you.

i got sf challeneges- 9.5 10.5 +23 all around. bridgestone so3's 245/35, 275/35 dropped on eibachs.

im pretty sure you can fit 285s in the back without rolling your fenders. ive never encountered any rubbing issues with my setup.

i got the same rim setup as mrjonang...same offset and color on top of that. here's a pic of it dropped on tein flex's.

i did roll my fenders but prior to it..there was no rubbing issues...so i rolled the fenders(rears) for nothing. however, i am stretched on 245/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear...and got camber issues like there's no tomorrow. so if you go w/ fatter tires, straight camber, and a pretty low drop (not like mines), then you might have issues rubbing.
