NO WAY,$270 FOR ONE 245,45W18 MICHILIN PILOT SPORT

I got a steel plate in my rear tire this morning and have decided to buy a new one instead of fixing it but are shocked that our 245 18"s are so expensive, $290 each. You got to be kidding me. Well, I need help with an alternative brand. Thank you all in advance.

I've been hearing good things about the SO3s also, I will be looking at those when I change. Also, if you go up by one size in back to 255/45, you have a lot more brand choices. In that size I like the Dunlop SP D9000. I've had Dunlops in the past and have loved them. The 255 size should also work well with our current stagger. Also, I assume you will be replacing more than one tire.

The S-03's are great tires but they will wear out after only 10k-15k. The pilots handle about the same and last a lot longer. You really do get what you pay for.

Yea, I have 10,000 miles on my pilots and they are still great, not much difference from when they were new. And I do go hard on them. I bet these will last another 10,000 miles.
