Wheels/Suspension Confusion
Wheels/Suspension Confusion
Ok, I've been doing a lot of reading and finding myself more confused.
Situation - I have an 04 Coupe with Brembos still sitting on the stock 18s.
Dilemma - I would like to enhance the look of my car by getting a bigger wheel (initial thoughts are black 19s) and some suspension upgrades.
Confusion - What should I do here? Some people say get 20s instead, but I'm first and foremost looking at visual effect and also ride quality. I think 20s might be a bit much, and from my understanding there can be fitment issues. Plus, I think they might just be a bit too big.
So, I'm still thinking 19s. I've read some people say that if you've got 19s, don't drop it at all.
I've seen some with 20s dropping using Tokico D-Specs and Tein 350z H-Techs. Is this combination ok for 19 inch rims too? The 350Z H-Techs result in less drop than the G35 H-Techs correct? I'd like to avoid camber issues as well so I figured this more subtle drop would help avoid such an issue.
I'm also on 17s for the winter. Not sure how a suspension modification would affect that for next winter. Any thoughts?
Basically I need some help guys. In short, I'm on 18s, and I want to go 19s with a suspension upgrade that won't affect the camber.
Thanks for your help.

Its easy...if you want performance go with a lightweight 19" wheel, if you want looks you go 20".
Go with a Dpec and H-tech drop like I did, and you will have a decent sized drop with performance gains and great looks
