Question 20" Wheels = Lost Speed?

I cannot decide wheather to go 19 or 20s. I like the look of 20s but on average they seem to weight 5 - 6 pounds heavier per wheel than the same wheel in 19s.
Question 1: Does 20 lbs in additional wheel weight effect acceleration the same as 20 lbs carried in the trunk of the car (basically not noticeable)? For guys that went 20s, does your car feel slower since going up in wheel size?
Question 2: What is the weight of the OEM 18s for the coupe?

I'm looking at the Axis Penta wheels which are about 5 lbs heavier per wheel if I go 20s instead of 19s. But that does not matter. I've noticed that every wheel available in 20s is usually about 5lbs heavier than the 19" version. Which is why I need to know if 20s slow down your acceleration.

Go 19's if your concerned about performance....unless you're going to have FI then 20's won't make a difference.

I would think the weight and the height of the wheel will slow acceleration. I believe larger diameter wheels dont help in acceleration.

no, 20lb heavier in the rims is different from 20lb in the trunk, it is worse being it has to do with rotational mass. expert chime in please.

Depends on wheel design .........where/how far from center the extra weight occurs..........usually tires weigh more also.

Shocks wear faster, brakes wear faster, turnin requires more steering force, acceleration might decrease as if you added 20 x 4-5 [factor] = 80-100 pounds of weight inside car.

Guys think you are cool, girls think you wasted your money..[less to spend on them]......bigger wheels don't correlate with big human body parts usually the converse.

Yes, 20's make a big difference in performance. I have chrome Zenetti fives with nitto 555's and they made my car quite a bit slower. I have not tried the stock wheels back on since my supercharger install but I plan on it soon.
It all depends on how much looks matter to you over performance. 20's do look way better than 19's IMO and my car is fast enough for now, until I can afford some iForged 20's. Then the best of both worlds can be enjoyed!

Yes, trust me I know!!!!! My 19s over my stock 18s were about 5-6lb heavier a wheel I believe. Let me tell you, my car is much slower than it use to be with the stock ones. It has made me consider selling these for some light weight ones.

19's are big enough arent they?? If you want performance and looks, 19 seems to be the best of both worlds.

Hmmm light 19s yes. I am considering selling mine now for some light weight ones. Seriously considering. Any buyers?

I mean the wheels weigh 27 front and 28 rear in weight but damn what a difference they made.
