Hey everyone,

I scoured the forums and I can't find anybody with the DPE R08 Variant S'.

Does anyone on here have them, and if so, can you post pics or give me a link to the thread?

I'm trying to decide between the 19" R16, R20, and R08 Variant S. What does everyone think?

I know a couple ppl already have the R16's and R20's and they both look unbelievably hot even in just the pics.

I'm probably gonna go with the Titanium Asphalt finish on my DG no matter what, so if you have Titanium Asphalt, that's even better.

Are you sure you really want Titanium Asphalt? To me it looks too purple-ish.

Why not platinum graphite? I think that would be a much better finish.

I was also looking at Platinum Graphite (and to a lesser degree, Liquid Cinder).

Although I don't know about Titanium Asphalt being purplish - it looks more to me like simply a matte black.

But I've never seen it in person.
Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of having multiple cars with different DPE finishes for me to see in person. I'm only really going by the pics that people post, and I haven't seen a single person with DPE Platinum Graphite on DG.

Platinum Graphite on the website almost looks like it's paint matched to DG, kinda like Gunmetal, no?

I just wanted some contrast between the rim color to the Diamond Graphite paint job, but I think colors like Phantom Black are TOO contrasting, whereas I'm afraid Platinum Graphite might not be contrasting enough. I was thinking of something the middle, hence Platinum Asphalt.

Although I did find it interesting that Platinum Graphite was the most expensive of the basic custom colors.

Here's one thread I found with some DPE's...honestly you really gotta search bro. Go to forums at the top, and then click search. Also, go through the picture share forum and the coupe forum for more pics of cars with rims.

Personally with DG, I'd go with black rims...I think it's a really classy combo.

Strangely, I haven't found a single person with R08 Variant S'. I see the R07s, R06s, R05s, but no R08's! I'm looking to fill the wheel with rim (that's why I like the R16s and R20s also). And I've only seen one guy on here with DG go dark-colored DPE's, and those were titanium asphalt (forgot whose they were, but they looked pretty nice). I don't see anyone on here with the platinum graphite finish.

But I'll keep looking then, maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I agree with you though, I love black rims on DG. hmm, maybe phantom black or liquid cinder then? hmm....
